i’m shay - a documentary family | motherhood | couple photographer here in wilmington, north carolina! photography for me goes beyond a job, it is truly my passion. i’ve been doing this for a decade now and reading moments + people has become second nature to me. my heart longs to show that connection in a visual story. i live for the in between moments and have a candid cinematic approach to my imagery. my goal is to provide a safe haven for your family to be yourselves and a place to be intentional, love on each other while having fun and genuinely laugh and enjoy your time together. i prioritize connection > perfection, always. it’s about making a memory + authentically capturing the very essence of the season of life you’re in. if this resonates with you, lets catch a sunset together! xo

at the heart— simplicity fuels my soul.
i’m usually barefoot, chasing after littles, making a mess in the kitchen, and talking about jesus. i live for being a wife to my better half + a mama to my crew who make my heart beat. I homeschool and use to teach in a classroom so working with kids and connecting with them runs deep for me.
i love nothing more than a early sunrise and a hot latte cuddled up with them or a late sunset with our fav pizza on the beach. if i’m not covered in sand, you can find me somewhere on our land—gardening, taking care of animals, or filling up a vase of water for all the wildflowers my kids pick on the daily. i enjoy the subtly of a simple life + by grace find the beauty in the mundane moments. this is what sparks my creativity, always. laughing til it hurts is my love language and i would love nothing more than to bring that out of your family!
